Hello Kitty Knitting Machine
Today my husband and I were doing some shopping at Tuesday Morning and I ran across a Hello Kitty knitting machine for $15 bucks! I have been a Hello Kitty collector since I was about 5 years old AND I am highly interested in weird crafting gadgets so this was a very exciting find.

The Amazing $30 Dooney & Burke Bag
Several weeks ago, my husband and I were browsing around this great vintage/thrift shop in Golden, Colorado. I was just checking out some old aprons and hankies when my husbands yells for me from across the store. I go over to where he is standing and he points up at a Dooney & Burke bag that is pretty dirty but most likely real. It was marked at $65! Turns out that the store was having a 50% off of everything in the store sale that day and the girl who rang me up gave it to me for $30!!
I got it home and took all the tissue paper out of the bag and saw how disgustingly dirty it really was. That was ok though because it was a used $30 Dooney & Burke bag. I was determined to find a way to clean up to look like new.
Baking soda, a little water and a toothbrush will clean anything! I made some baking soda paste and scrubbed that thing inside and out. I scrubbed the hardware with some Windex. I did manage to make it look like new!

My old blog I started a few years ago
I started a blog a few years ago and I got distracted and preoccupied so I didn't keep up on it like I should have. Feel free to check it out!

Crocheted Yoda Hat
So a couple of weeks ago a friend of mine showed me a picture of a small child wearing a Yoda. Being the huge Star Wars fan that he is, he very excitedly asked me if I could make something like that for him.
Here is my first Yoda hat!
This was a really super easy hat to make. It is a basic crocheted beanie with a little ribbing at the bottom. The ears are just a couple of long triangles that are folded over at the base to make them look like Yoda's ears.
